Big Punisher Documentary “My Legacy” Movie Trailer
Yep this is Big Punisher or Big Pun, the rapper who emerged from the underground rap scene in The Bronx in the late 1990s. At 26 he became the first Latin solo hip-hop artist to go platinum. At 28 he was dead.
His documentary will be debuted at NY International Latino Film Festival. “My Legacy” features in-depth interviews with the late rapper’s friends and family remembering his music and humorous persona outside the studio. Big Pun mentor Fat Joe, Jim Jones, DMX and Snoop Dogg are among various artists who will be featured in this documentary.
Highlights in the documentary include Jim Jones speaking on Big Pun jumping out of his car and shooting at crack heads with a water gun.
Other rappers featured in the documentary include Prodigy, Raekwon, Snoop Dogg, Swizz Beatz, Killer Mike, Xzibit, Keith Murray and Redman.
Big Pun died from a fatal heart attack in 2000. The Bronx bred rapper made history when he released his debut album Capital Punishment in 1998, becoming the first Latino rapper to go platinum.
